When the holiday season is on the horizon (and getting closer!), peoples' anxiety tends to increase. Getting together with family brings up all those old issues and patterns. How do you feel if you are not in a committed relationship? How does your family react to your "single" status? Do you feel more vulnerable without a special someone? Should you bring a date along?

Couples Workshop

You've heard about the book Men are from Mars, Women are From Venus. It's no secret that people (even in same-sex couples) have different communication styles and that this complicates how couples make their relationship work. But not only are communication styles different. Even more fundamental is the fact that two people in a relationship inevitably want different levels of closeness, intimacy, sex, doing stuff together, etc. So how come some couples seem to make it, while others don't?

This workshop will explore issues of differing needs and communication styles in couples. We will have some parts when we all meet together, and others when the men will meet together while the women meet in another room. It will be a chance to compare notes, make observations, and learn from one another.
